Project Details

Concept build. Phnom Phone is a fictional phone shop, built to show the Showcase package for a retailer selling other manufacturers' products. Nothing on the site is for sale.

The design problem here is different from a maker's: everyone sells the same handset, so the site has to sell the shop. Warranty, receipt, IMEI check and repair turnaround are given the space that a brand story would take elsewhere.

What it demonstrates

  • Products grouped by tier — flagship, mid-range, accessories — because that is how somebody actually shops for a phone.
  • Trust stated in numbers on the About page rather than claimed in adjectives.
  • A light theme with a single strong accent, deliberately unlike the other four demos: nav, hero, cards, footer and section order are configuration in this template, not a fixed shell, so two clients never receive the same site in different colours.
  • Price and stock state on the listing, so nobody has to message to find out whether it is worth visiting.
